Complete art is the single most important part of your order, necessary to ensure accuracy, high quality and quick production.
Graphics File Format
- Please submit your graphic files in PC/IBM format.
- The preferred format is Adobe Illustrator EPS or Adobe Photoshop EPS.
- Some other PC Graphic formats may also be acceptable, such as PSD or TIFF.
- Unacceptable graphic formats include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Word, PageMaker, Power Point and Corel Draw.
- Low resolution/quality files, such as JPEG, GIF, BMP are not acceptable.
- All fonts must be converted to outlines in artwork.
Text File Format
- If the project involves engraving text only, please submit as a Word document showing the desired layout.
- If you are using a stylized font for your text, the font suitcase must be submitted as separate attachment along with your Word document.
- If the engraving project involves name dropping, (a different individual's name in each piece), the list of names must be submitted as a Word document or in Excel format.
Names must be numbered and/or in alphabetical order and in a point size no smaller than 12 to avoid possible spelling errors. We can't accept hand-written names.
Please note that we are not responsible for spelling errors in individual names once they have been submitted by the client. Changes to the names after they have been submitted and production has begun, may incur an additional charge. Any engraved piece with a misspelled name as a result of a mistake in the original list will be billed accordingly.
Artwork Requirements
- Artwork must be camera-ready (not requiring any touch-ups,
rearranging or designing). Clean up / touch ups or redrawing
will be billed at an hourly charge. You will be notified
in advance if your project requires design work.
- Artwork that requires changes may add additional time to production.
- 600 dpi (dots per inch) is the minimum quality required.
- Artwork must be black and white only, with no colors, halftones, grays or shading.
- The image edges must be crisp. Jagged, blurry or broken lines will not engrave properly.
- We cannot use images or logos saved from a web site, as they are not sufficient quality.
- All materials submitted by the customer will be accepted as being in full compliance with laws regarding trademarks, mark copyright, right of privacy, patent and similar protection.
Submitting Artwork
Electronic art is recommended as is the best method to ensure speedy and accurate production.
All submitted artwork must include:
- 1. Company name
- 2. ASI / PPAI number
- 3. P.O. number
- 4. Contact name, phone and fax number and e-mail address.
E-mails received without identification will be returned to sender delaying the production time. |
